Olds Aerotech (built 24 years ago)

I am visiting my parents and digging around in boxes. I found this build from 1989 when I was 13. I believe I was making the Aerotech into an IMSA racecar. I'm laughing at my engine choice and execution. I believe the wheels came from the Revell Pontiac Grand Prix.

Cool idea. Just get ride of the chevy engine.

I think it looks fine the way it is , just find an Olds engine for it.

It's a cool kit. I'd like to strip it and build the actual Aerotech, but I can't find the rest of the parts and definitely not the long tail section.

Nice job on the Aerotech, Adam. I have to tell you, though, as a kid growing up in Milwaukee in the very early ’60s, we lived next to a 'Red Owl' Food store and that big red owl sign was right outside my bedroom window. Scared the bejeezus out of me. I hadn't thought of that Red Owl in years, then I saw your avatar....I hope the nightmares don't come back!

That would be a scary image late at night! It's always been my favorite logo. Someday I will make up some decals and do some phantom Red Owl racecars.

Been watching some episodes of a TV show called Mystery Cars some of the footage shot at the Heritage center, They keep showing the Aerotec in the background, wish they'd do an episode on it and it would make me drag my old Monogram kit out of the stash.
