Red and Silver!

I finished sanding the Body so I gave it one last coat of Primer. Then I sprayed the whole Body with Testors Diamond Dust. Then I turned it over and sprayed the Bottom with Tamiya Mica Red.

Here is the Top Side featuring the Diamond Dust without the Mica Red. Kind of looks like it's floating above the table...

Tribal Flames!

These Flames are from the Revell '67 Chevelle Pro Street Kit. I also added a couple Slixx Decals including the "Dynamic Speed Center" Logo Decals. After the Decals dried I sprayed on a few coats of Testors Glosscote.

Paint It Black!

I hand painted most of the Interior with Vallejo's Flat Black. The unpainted areas will be covered by the Door Panels. The inner Front Grill area was also painted Black.

Seats!

After Sanding and Priming the Seats, I applied Tamiya Mica Red over Testors Diamond Silver, same as the Body.

Then I painted the backs of the Seats Flat Black.

Next I applied Silver Stripping Tape between the Red and Black. Then I brushed on a light coat of The Detailer, Black Wash.

that's a lot of engines Ira, I think you'll need to upgrade the inertial dampers. :)

Thanks Mike!

We are working on those modifications right now... B)

Big Heat Sink!

I found this part in the MPC Star Wars Snow Speeder. I am going to use it as a Heat Sink to help dissipate the Heat from the Six Engines. It will be mounted between the two top Engines.

I had to cut a little off each end to fit the Vette.

I used strips of plastic to fill the gaps on the sides.

Vette Door Panels!

I cut the Door Panels from two 1985 Corvette Interiors.

Next I started to fit the Door Panels to the Vette Jet Interior. The front sections needed to be cut quite a bit to fit in place. This photo shows the Front Sections Before and After modifications.

I glued Plastic Strips to the bottoms of the Door Panels to add height.

Black, Red and Silver!

I added putty and sanded the Panels Smooth. Then I sprayed them with Flat Black Primer.

I Masked off the areas that will be Black and Sprayed the rest with Tamiya Silver Leaf. Then I Sprayed the Silver areas with Tamiya Mica Red.

Here they are with the Masking Tape removed. I also used Bare Metal Foil on the areas as shown.

Vertical Thrusters!

I'm using 12th scale Corvette Wheels for the Vertical Thrusters. The Wheel on the Right shows it Before and the Wheel on the Left shows it After a Black Wash was applied.

Here are all four in place.

After avoiding this topic because of lack of interest in the subject matter, I finally took a look and I'm very impressed. This whole thing is extremely clever. Your techniques, your descriptions and photos are very illuminating, and I'll keep following.
