WALLS & FLOORBOARD TOO!

I Cut & Fit the Front Wall Sections and glued them in. The Floorboard was also done with sheet plastic.

The Rear Floor was raised to hold the rear seat at the right position.

DOOR PANELS!

Using a Cut-Off Wheel and a Dremel Tool, I cut the Door Panels from 2 Corvette Interiors.

Here are the Panels after a little cleaning up...

Hey, Ira! Is it too late to swap the rear door panels from side to side?

You could carry the same arm rest line through from front to back:

Like this: \_ _ __ _ _/ Instead of like you have it: \_ _ _\_ _ _

Might flow better. Just a thought, says the rank amateur to the creative genius.

The diagonal edges of the panels won't line up if you flip them. They won't be / /... they'd be / \

Hey Ira... I know it's not the subject of this topic, but I love the way you made the "light beam" the attachment point for the UFO to the house. Very clever! :D

Maybe this will help?

chrisbennett-vi.jpg

The model was constructed by Chris Bennett and entered into the Portland Rod & Custom model car show 2006. The title of the piece is "2063 Vette" and the scale is large. Not exactly sure if it was as large as 1/8th tho. More likely 1/12th or 1/16th.

The door does not close and the car hovers over the stand seemingly by some sort of repulsers. (Actually supported by the mechanic's arm and his wrench.)

Lighting in the building was really bad and don't do the model justice.

Chris took "Best Paint" and 1st in "Diorama". I'd have voted it best in show if I was a judge, it was that cool.

Thanks Jairus!

Yes, I've seen this one, it is Great.

Last year at the NNL West, I saw a 24th scale Flying 53 Corvette supported by a Car Hop, Fun Stuff... B)

WERE-RABBIT DASH!

I found this Futuristic Dashboard in the 12th scale Wallace & Grommit Were-Rabbit Truck Kit...

DSCN8724V_zpsabc5a46d.jpg

I cut down the sides to fit and removed the Dash-Shelf to increase legroom.

Here it is glued in place!

Thanks Harry!

I might make something like that for the Vette Jet... B)

THE VENTS ARE BACK!

There are 8 Vents on the 4 side panels I removed from the 2 Vette Bodies. I am going to fit them into the Vette Jet Body.

DSCN8961V_zpsbb34df65.jpg

I used a Cut-Off Wheel in a Dremel Tool to cut out the Vents. Then I cleaned up the cuts with a sanding board.

DSCN8966V_zps50d16777.jpg

Next I traced the shapes of the Vents on to the rear of the Body.

NEW REAR VENTS!

I cut along the Marked Lines of the top Vents with a cut-off wheel.

DSCN8970V_zps5645c454.jpg

Then I cut out the area for the lower Vents.

DSCN8977V_zps0d96bd97.jpg

Here are the Vents glued in place. I also applied Squadron Putty to the rough areas.

Here are the Vents after I sanded the area down a little bit.
