Brett Barrow Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Ooooh.... nice! Did you add the rear cove molding with strip styrene or just carefully foil the edge of the panel? If you used styrene strip, what size?
RandyB. Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Ooooh.... nice! Did you add the rear cove molding with strip styrene or just carefully foil the edge of the panel? If you used styrene strip, what size? Thanks John, Brett and Bob! Brett.....I just carefully cut the foil "free hand". It's really not that difficult to do but you will need a steady hand.
RandyB. Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) Thanks Gerald and John. On this 'Cuda build I will be using the chrome bumpers front and back. I used the elastomeric body coloured bumpers on my last 'Cuda build. As with my previous Cuda build I cut the front license plate off for a cleaner looking front end. I used a small piece of foil on the underside of the bumper where I cut the plate off. Edited January 5, 2014 by RandyB.

TFchronos Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Beautiful detailing, it looks amazing so far!
drodg Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Randy looking good. I have got rather behind with company here for the holidays but should be making some good progress this week.
RandyB. Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys. I spent half the day fussing with the taillights trying to get the paint in the right places. Pretty fine work doing these. Would have been better if Revell had included a transparent red lense to glue in. Anyway they are done as best as I can get them. Edited January 6, 2014 by RandyB.
slusher Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Excellent foil work Randy, nice detail work on the tail lights also...
RandyB. Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Thanks David, Carl and Brett. Well my tire decals came today from Fireball Modelworks and boy do they sure dress up these generic tires. I was so impressed I put another order in today for 18 more sets to do other cars in my collection. Have a look and see what you think. Edited January 7, 2014 by RandyB.
FASTBACK340 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Really nice work Randy. Clean and well executed. BTW: Those tire decals look so good, I gotta go order some………….. *
RandyB. Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Thanks Del and John. Here is a pic of my recent '70 'Cuda build in Limelight and my '70 Dodge Super Bee in Plum Crazy with the tire decals applied. Love them. This is the best thing since sliced bread was invented! FASTBACK340 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Nice work! And yes, those tire decals look good.
slusher Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Those look great Randy. Are they water slide???
RandyB. Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Those look great Randy. Are they water slide??? Thanks John and Carl. Carl...yes they are waterslide. Use a little decal setting solution and you can't see the decal film when they dry.
John Teresi Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Randy ……coming along nicely…….love the engine
