hooknladderno1 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Justin, Don't know how, but I missed this build. Looking great! Question - what color/brand red are you using? Nice work with the BMF and hand painting on the cab! Look forward to seeing the next update! David
modeltruckmafia Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I will restate this. BE CAREFUL WITH THE PIN THAT HOLD THE ROTATING PART TO THE BODY...... You may want to extend it or something. This really bit me in the ass.as the weight of the ladder really makes the stress point a bit to much.

Trailking120 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Thank you guys Adam I see what you mean I had to modify that area for the pin. I am leaning with the fact that the turntable and ladders will be stationary. They seems to be to fragile to make them move.
Trailking120 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) I found some time and have the ladders into there top coat of aluminum. I have about 30 hrs into cleaning sanding, filling and priming these things. > I have the cab trim painted I just need to add the gold BMF trim that separates the black and red. The last two pictures are the interior built up and the front bumper completed. I used pins to represent the bolts. Edited February 12, 2014 by Trailking120

Jim B Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Looking good. Are you going to put any SCBA packs in the seats? I know a guy on another board that makes them with a 3D printer.
Trailking120 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Thank you guys. Jim can you email more about the SCBA's?
Trailking120 Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Played around with this monster tonight. I have the gold BMF band. The front tires are mounted and the cab is mocked up. Now I have a pile of small parts that need cleaning and then Alcad. Edited February 13, 2014 by Trailking120
Trailking120 Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) Made some progress the last 2 weekends. Everything on the truck is mounted. I just need to letter it and add the lights and other odds and ends. The next pictures posted will be in the finished section. Here are the light housings grab irons and mirrors and other detail items in Alcad Chrome. Edited March 3, 2014 by Trailking120
