Shelby 427 1965 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Well, 2013 was an odd year for me modelling wise - it started off extremely productive then steadily declined. Blame buying my first car and working on it instead. So here's what I still have, a few were given away and some were scrapped. They aren't in order. 1. Nismo 350Z: 2. Shelby GT500 "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" - so called because I bought it while on a school trip in Berlin, and it's an American car. Makes sense. 3. Calsonic R34 (For the Gran Turismo Community Build): (More in next post)
Shelby 427 1965 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 4. '68 Charger R/T 426 (My first attempt at wiring an engine): 5. Lancer Evo VI: 6. Nissan 240SX: (More in next post)
Shelby 427 1965 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 7. Snowy Impreza, proudly featured in the Internation House of Plastic Vol.2 Book: 8. Gorillaz "Stylo" Camaro: And lastly, my three W.I.P.s that weren't quite finished, and the Charger I just started. 190E that I started, am making into a much more detailed build than the laughable standard kit. Too much scratchbuilding and not enough talent has this boxed for a while. The charger, which I've just started (build thread in the WIP section): And lastly, my biggest and most expensive WIP: Thanks for lookin' and thanks for the kind comments already, merry christmas and a happy new year's building!
Zarana-X Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Nice work. You're alot more productive than I am. Nice subjects. If I was a millionaire, I would shurely end up getting a Skyline R34 or R32. If I was a thousandaire, I'd probably get an Impreza or Lancer, though.
Shelby 427 1965 Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Cheers! Doesn't take a millionaire to get a Skyline, surely!
Dominik Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Nice collection, well done. The Calsonic is my favorite eyecatcher. It looks great!
rmvw guy Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 This has been a busy year for you indeed. I hope you don't give up on models for the big car though. You were on a roll. Nice work on a great collection.
Zarana-X Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Cheers! Doesn't take a millionaire to get a Skyline, surely! Well, I live in California. Skylines were not sold in the USA. It's a grey market car. California is the worst state to try and import/own a grey market car that isn't pre-1975 smog/inspection exempt. The ones I have seen typically go fo $50,000 and up, that added with the costs of owning/storage/maintenance.
Shelby 427 1965 Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 Thanks for the extremely kind words everyone, much appreciated!
Greg Cullinan Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 That gorillaz camaro is cool. I like them all. The motor looks good in the Mustang.
Belugawrx Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 That Calsonic is a beauty and of course the SnowBuru Love it ..Nice builds Happy New Year
Shelby 427 1965 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 Thanks a lot everyone, really appreciate it Here's to 2014!
