I wanted to build this one in 2013, but the holidays got in the way. I did some research on this one and the rarest color was Grabber Orange with white stripes, so I painted this one Tamiya Bright Orange, no clear and no polish. The interior was painted Tamiya's primer white and semi-gloss black. Decals supplied with the kit where used for the wood dash and door panel inserts. Tamiya's blue tint for window and AMT's RWL Goodyear tires replaced the ones supplied with the kit.

Nice kit!!!

Thanks for looking.

Al

Totally sharp Shelby and gorgeous color! One of my favorite '60's musclecars! I bought this kit myself not long ago--------can't resist a muscle convertible kit that's got an uptop! :D

Gene,

The wheels were easy. Go over to Michael's and get a "DecoColor" extra fine tip paint marker in black. The markers make fine detail quick and you only need one coat. They also make a 6 pen set with black, white, red, blue, green and yellow. Great product.

Thank everyone for the nice comments on my Shelby.

Very nice Al, like the orange. Where those wheels hard to detail?

This one turned out nice!!

The color is great.

I'm kind of addicted to Tamiya paints.

It's one less worry you have using them, at least you know the paint will turn out nice.

And I'm NOT working for Tamiya :D:D

That shine is great! How did you get the paint so glossy out of the can? I am in the middle of building a Fiat 500d with the same color.

Thank you again guys. I just finished painting my 2nd car for the year, Revell's 70 Cuda and we're under a State of Emergency here in Jersey for the snow storm. So it looks like I'll have all day tomorrow to hopefully finish it.

Be safe out there.
