Porscheman Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 This one took me a little longer than I thought, I wanted a vinyl top, so I had to come up with a body color and it was painted Testors Chrysler Yellow lacquer with Wet Look Clear top coat. The vinyl top was done using Frog tape and painted Tamiya's Semi-gloss black. The interior was done in Krylon Semi-gloss black with decal silver seat inserts. Glass was tinted with Tamiya's Clear Blue and the kits tires were replace with AMT's RWL tires. I really hate doing yellow, but I think it came out ok. Let me know what you think. Al
kelson Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Good looking Cuda!, love the color choice!,the roof looks maybe a little to shiny.
jeffs396 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 The yellow looks sharp Al Maybe a bit of dullcote on the vinyl roof though?
Porscheman Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) I tried to give the car a antique car show look with a little ArmorAll, Yeah that's it ArmorAll Thanks for the nice comments on the color choice. Al Edited January 8, 2014 by Porscheman
Ramfins59 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 That car looks great Al. There's nothing wrong with yellow.

slusher Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Very sharp Al, love the yellow. I use to put a wax on my T-Bird vinyal roof in the 80's and it would shine...
cobraman Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Love it Al. When you say it took longer than you thought do you mean 2 days ? : )
Porscheman Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 Love it Al. When you say it took longer than you thought do you mean 2 days ? : ) Thanks everyone. Ray I bought it on Thursday, I took my time on this one. Al
realgone58 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Looks great! I hate spraying yellow too, but this came out fantastic. Before I scrolled down, I had figured the roof looked like an armour alled vinyl top!
rmvw guy Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Looks delicious! That's what I always think when I see those 70s Mopar colors. I thought about ArmorAll before I read anything also. Nice job on a quick-build.
Porscheman Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Thanks guys!!! I was a Ford guy as a kid and still am. The only Cuda's I remember were slant 6's and a boring color. Al
