crowe-t Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Nice job Alan! What paint did you use on the body? What color red is it? Mike.
booboo60 Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Jessie, This is the new reissue Kit, Has some odd deals and fitting problems, but over all a nice kit and has many applications for other build, like Grumpy Jenkins, also I have an old Nova body 68 and it would fit if I modified it a bit, the Roll cage needs work, kinda cut down plane, I had too add a few bars et.. Mike I used Both Tamiya Bright Red and White Bright, I'm getting ready to do the Original Sox and Martin 70 Cuda, so will come in Handy. I do need the GTS Blue, But I'm going to Michaels or Hobby Lobby this week, I have too jump back into the Green Elephant car 1st, I was waiting on parts for like 6 weeks, But good too go now, Thanks.
Force Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 From what I can see from your pics this "new re-issue" has a mish-mash of parts from all the previous issues of this tooling and it seems like many of the original parts is missing.
booboo60 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) Yup, extra driveshaft, " longer one" extra set of LG block heads,"nice" roll cage cut down, "no biggie to fix, heck I cut cpl pieces off the tree rack and fit in. Humm, oh, looks like a funny car steering tube shaft "that was odd" " Nice tac and decal. Other then that nice kit, light seam lines, little slag on trees, worth buying, I am doing the body finishes now. Have decals completed. And just started the windows, dangerous part for me, ,trying to finish so I can do the 48 Jr build I seen on youtube by a guy named "Chevy cheeseburger" lol thanks again. Also, I have a set of Reher-Morrison decals if someone needs.them or a few off it, I bought some slixx with the Grumpy.toy camaro, so the factory set is fine, just ask or msg me, I will help if I can. "note, she is finished, I will post some pics tomorrow on "under glass forum if u wanna see finished car. Edited January 17, 2014 by booboo60
reig3 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Curious...unless I read that wrong, why would that car come with Lakewood traction bars? Bob
chadrob30 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Curious...unless I read that wrong, why would that car come with Lakewood traction bars? Bob Yea, I think those would be pretty useless on a car with that much HP lol.
booboo60 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Here's a cpl pics of the body so far.
booboo60 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) Sorry. I was talking too another guy about the older 68/69 pro stock'ers, and seen where Reher_Morrison ran a 65 or 67 Vette, then he ask if the donor kit I ordered had traction bars in it, like the 69 grumpy camaro ran, just a double conversation mix up, sorry Edited February 3, 2014 by booboo60

I hope some will like it, oh, also wired the electrical box's, Thanks for looking and any advise or input. Alan "BooBoo"
