I started this one right after xmas and I must say it was not a good kit, not sure if it's just mine but the hood is way to short, the slicks don't fit and the headers were a nightmare to fit in, it's pretty much box stock other than the dist, wiring

I like it. The '66 Nova was also a bit of a misfit for me twice. Seems to have a fit issue with the hood, I agree. Still, I would love to build one more like yours. I remember the Grump more for this car then for any other. The only thing I would do is maybe put a bit of a wash on the grill, engine and wheels. Other than that it looks perfect to me.

I have a question............do they sell shops like the one in the picture and where would I find one if they do? Nice job on the Nova.

You can get something similar at scale modelling by chris, his are all styrene mine is foam board with wall decals I got on ebay

Very nice build! Especially that paint job is looking good, and I like the details you added. Also thanks for the information about kit's problems. Great Work.

Thanks Daryl, could you post a couple pictures of yours? I did see parts to make one on ebay after I made the post about where to find this stuff. Really makes a build complete.

there's anotlher Grumpy's Toy post in this section that give more information on details of the build like painting the motor, making a deep sump oil pan and painting the gas tank bright white. I haven't started mine yet. I'm waiting for more post with more information.

oh I did a lot of cursing ,it don't get ya know where though lol, I didn't do nothing about he fit on the hood cause If I'm going to do some detailing on the motor I leave the hood off when I put them in my cabinet, check your hood first before you start maybe it was just my kit

Very nice and clean job on your Nova..Building one myself, it will be stock with dog dish caps..Light metallic brown...Ford color with same interior. Going to use black primer on the seat bolsters then coat with the same color as the car..Should be a little darker color which will make it look like a different vinyl upholstry..It it doesn't so well.....
