Terminator-Fox Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Recently got this kit finished. I love anything vintage drag racing and AWB cars. This kit lacks in details pretty bad. Basic kit. I did what I wanted to add more. It turned out pretty good IMO. This was my second kit I've used BMF on. I added different rear wheels, added real rubber tires rather than the plastic kit tires provided. I wanted to add the Funny Farmer decals but they were just awful and blew apart. Added a larger racing seat since the kit provided one would be right for a 1/32 car as it's so small and out of scale. I like it better without the hood so it may stay off. Fiery Orange Metallic with Gloss clear for paint. Still need to polish it some. So here's my Tempest. Not the best pics I know. Edited January 19, 2014 by Terminator-Fox
booboo60 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Looks super. Like the classic stance, slicks look nice sanded. How about a shot of the engine? Nice built,
slusher Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Very nice build. Great looking paint finish and color. Nice work..
W-409 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Very nice build, especially when thinking about the quality of the kit you started with. I like the color on it and paint job looks good, too. The little changes that you made, were good ideas. It looks much better than if it was built straight from the box. Maybe a bit black washing on the grille and detail painting the chrome headlights would make it even better? Though, it's looking excellent like it is, too.
Terminator-Fox Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 The grill has been detail painted black. I like the chrome headlights, like they have covers over the glass.
Old Coyote Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Very nice build sir .......... beautiful work on a somewhat marginal kit B)
