kilrathy10 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) I've got another one going, here.....I do believe this will be the last one for the fleet....Just gotta have a tow truck for those break downs and mishaps, you know....My plan is to use the Italeri wrecker body.....I don't even have to do anything to the frame....Had I not built the first Lonestar, I wouldn't have even come up with this idea....My first measurements assure me that the tow body will nestle right behind the cab with no alterations to the frame or cab, which is HUGE.....However, the business end of the wrecker will have to be altered to make the body sit closer to the wheels...I've done it before, so I don't think I'll have too many issues with it....Also, there is a lip at the front of the cab that wouldn't allow the hood to close all the way that I discovered on the last Lonestar I built.....This had to be trimmed.....We'll see what it looks like at the end of this project.......Here goes nothin'..... Having some paint issues....Humidity is up....20th of January and it's 75 degrees.....Houston weather.....Nothing a little Future can't solve, though.... Edited January 28, 2014 by kilrathy10

TRaymo Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Looks good. Are you gonna leave off the roof faring? And yes it was a nice warm day for January here in the greatest state!!
kilrathy10 Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Thanks, Guys for the quick feedback.....I'm definitely gonna display this without the roof fairing, Travis, but I went ahead and prepped it, just in case....What part of Texas you from, Man??? And, you're right, Henry....That part of the wall needs to be painted....Not sure why I haven't, yet.... Sean, my wife says my not paying enough attention to her is why I can get these things done so quickly.....I wonder why she said that?? And, thanks Jonathon, Jesse, and Carl....I appreciate your positive comments....
