I've only got one to show (so far).

Had a good time building this one - one of these days I should do another. I've always wanted to do a "correct" Ford powered sprinter - I've got the decals, etc.

While sprints are my absolute favorite form of racing, I don't enjoy building something out of the box. So I decided to build a cartoon sprint car. Other than the driver figure and two hubcaps from a Mercedes, this is all scratch built.

This is a really old AMT kit of the Grant King Sprint Car. I wired and plumbed the engine, scrtach built the velocity stacks, for the interior I added gauges and rivet detail, seat belt hardware. Re-finished in BASF lacquers.

Drew, I love your older sprint cars. Where did you get the tires? I'd love to do some older USAC type dirt cars, but tires for these are hard to find. Thanks.

I love this topic! This was my first build upon my re-entry into the hobby since I was a kid after 25 years.
