Miatatom Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 What is everyone's preference for decal scissors? Are the Tamiya (#74031) 4 1/2" decal scissors worth the price?
Joker Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Don't know about the Tamiya brand scissors. I personally , use one made for fly tying. (found at Bass Pro Shop) They have large finger loops and are super sharp. Fiskar brand is another alternative...found at Michaels Wally World etc. Fiskar also makes a compact scissor sharpener.
Craig Irwin Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Medical suture scissors, it helps to know a nurse.
slusher Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I have 2 pair of scissors I use. 1 set is Friskar and a small set I bought at Hobby Lobby to cut small decals like car license plates out with. I only cut decals with these scissors to keep them sharp...
kitbash1 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) I like this type So do I, they're called Iris surgical scissors. Edited February 19, 2014 by kitbash1
Lunajammer Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I've enjoyed success with detail cutting using the scissor from a Swiss Army Knife.
sportandmiah Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Tamiya decal scissors are only 9 bucks and worth every penny. Get them.
