I had pneumonia last year and went to "sick call" four times, once a month. This winter I've been pretty lucky with my health, except for a few pains from shoveling snow.

Same here, John! I made it until last week.

Take Cold-Eeze zinc lozenges in the first 48 hours. I did and it only lasted a week with no major symptoms. Recommended!

Argh! I had the worst cold I've had in a long time last fall. Of course it hit hard the weekend before I had a job interview first thing Monday. So I went to the town on Sunday evening and stayed over in a hotel so I could get a bit more rest. Still I felt like crud. The funny part was that the folks I interviewed with also had colds so. I don't think it hurt my chances. In the end they never filled the job.

The down side is I still feel terrible. But the upside I just decided I have a 3 day weekend……why kill myself when I start the new job in a week?

I cough & cough & cough and still feel congested. Headaches and soreness… Bench time? Maybe tomorrow. Bed time now.
