jrherald420 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Yup and they cant keep them on the shelf's around here! I expect to see a ton of them at the local shows in a few months.
High octane Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I was at my local Hobby Lobby today and didn't see them. Maybe that's a good thing, as I have PLENTY to build already.
jrherald420 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I had to go to 5 different ones before i got mine. Now that i have it there was 2 at the local HL today.
Old Buckaroo Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I haven't been able to find a copy of the instructions. So is the frame suitable to cut down and install a slider with 5th wheel plate ?
highway Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 It should be Sean, it is the same cab and frame as the Louisville box truck. If you REALLY want to go that route and make a tractor from a Louisville truck, I would suggest getting a snow plow version. If I remember correctly, it comes with both the single and dual axles, and it also has the fifth wheel and plate included in the sprues.
highway Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Oh, and you shouldn't have to cut the frame either, since it would already be a suitable length for a tractor.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I have had the car hauled bed from a glue bomb I got years ago, maybe or back, and I also had the Coke box truck that I had planned at some point to use as the donor, but like others have said, sooo many projects, but it is indeed cool to see the kit getting released
tbill Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 my son works close to the HL, he picked me up one as soon as they got them
chuckyr Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) My local hobby shop has several of them. Edited April 3, 2014 by chuckyr

You do indeed remember correctly... that can be done as the snow plow, leave off the plow for a regular dumper, or as a tractor. The single axle setup isn't shown in the instructions, but it's all there.
deano2450 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I picked mine up a couple months ago. Should look good hauling my Tommy Grove funny.
