PappyD340 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 That is a sweet lookin' Model A Coupe Dennis. You did a really good job on that rod. x2
W-409 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 This turned out fantastic! I enjoyed so much following this one from TRaK and I can say that the end result was worth waiting. This is just my style of a Hot Rod. Perfect stance, wheel and tire choice, nice color and Blower Powered engine! You did a great job with this, it looks very clean and nicely detailed. One of the best Model A's that I've seen. Now needs to get back building mine with the Blown Flathead...
TooOld Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 That's really nice ! The added body moulding really makes a big difference in the looks !
om617 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) That is an really classy hot rod. Speaking of,you should write a novel because then i would not have to ask where you got those whitewall tires? Edited March 31, 2014 by om617
Dennis Lacy Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 That is an really classy hot rod. Speaking of,you should write a novel because then i would not have to ask where you got those whitewall tires? Thanks! The front tires and wheels are from the stock version of Revell's 1940 Ford Standard Coupe. The rear tires are older Modelhaus black resin (before Firestone made them remove the name) that I found at a local NNL show and the wheels are from the most recent re-issue of the old Monogram 1:24 1932 Roadster.
the goon Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) Right proportions, right stance, right parts. Man, that's pretty !! +1. I want that in fullsize Mark Edited March 31, 2014 by the goon
JTalmage Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) Gorgeous!!! 30-31 5 windows are my favorite!! And actually, your in progress pics that I found on google images from a while back kept directing me here, and are what led me to sign up for this site!! I would love to see progress pictures on how to "Channel" a model car body/chassis, I've got a '32 glue bomb that I would love to do this to... but cant figure out how. Chopping is the easy part. At least w/ these old coupes. Edited March 31, 2014 by JTalmage
