CaptainAhab
Haven't done a build thread in awhile so here we go... This is an older AMT kit I got on eBay super cheap. It was the one with the yellow gasser on the box. My plans are a traditional custom with the usual goodies: caddy wheel covers, chopped, lowered, shaved etc etc. I also plan on shoehorning a Buick nailhead under the hood as well. I plan on scratch building the fender skirts and using a steering wheel from a 49 ford, unless I can find an early 50s Chevy butterfly wheel. Anybody know where I can get one? CaptainAhab
Going with a subtle chop as I find this car doesn't need all that much to look good. Here's what I had to do get it there:

CaptainAhab
Used the roof section from a 32 ford. Worked quite well. Still have quite a bit of work/and cleaning up to do but here's the chop:

Robberbaron
Nice chop on this one. Just enough without going overboard. Looking forward to seeing this one come together - I don't think I've ever seen this kit built as a tail dragger. Seems like everyone goes the gasser or rat rod route with this one usually. Nice to see something different, and I think you're on the right track with that nailhead.
