Scottnkat Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 This kit started as the Hawk Mercury kit. I stripped the pre-painted body, then painted it a different color. I used some old Fred Cady Decals. I also used embossing powder to flock the carpet (first time using that instead of flocking - I kinda like it). The kit was build box-stock other than that. I took some liberties with the interior color as I could not find any pics of the interior of the original so I honestly have no idea if it's really two tone or not. I figured that with my hand still messed up, I should stick with something simple for now. Hope you enjoy it Here's the engine compartment Here's the trunk The doors open, too and here's a final pic

twopaws Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Very clean build of a Pace Car that isn't seen very often. NICE
charlie8575 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I never knew this kit existed. Nice job. 1/25-ish scale, I'm assuming? Charlie Larkin
Scottnkat Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 Thanks, everyone. Charlie, it's 1/24 scale
Michael in Illinois Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Love those Pace Cars, this one is on my to do list.
Edsel-Dan Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Actual car was a 50 though. Larger parking lights and different trunk and side trim details. Does Modelhaus offer the grill from the Aurora Mod Squad woody?? That would be correct. And I have read that the MPC Snap Mecrusy Police kit has the 50 Side trim I have the decals for this one too. I have the Classic Metal Works Diecast (Likely what this kit is from) In a Cream Close to that!!! Might use the decals on it
