crazyrichard Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 i cut some strips out of old window blinds and glued them along the bottom side and on the rear lower side , needs to be sanded in shape .. panellines will run strough the strips later removed the round taillight housings i will make something new ..
crazyrichard Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 after the previous post i went on and made the strip along the license plate thingy .. sanded roughly in shape needs more shaping made the panellines from the door run through in the strips
Dinky Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Maybe something with a line design ?? like copper / gold with white ?? Sounds good, copper is a really nice color and in combination with white. The old Corvettes have these colors also.
MsDano85gt Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 very cool indeed! i never knew revell/ monogram had a solid 1 pc body bronco without removable top i've only known of the version with the removable hardtop that can be glued one or left off....... does this one pc body sort of resemble some older snap style kit tooling?
crazyrichard Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Sounds good, copper is a really nice color and in combination with white. The old Corvettes have these colors also.yes could be cool ... i also have a new plan ... make the sides like a tin woody , so paint fake wood on the side .... not sure yet very cool indeed! i never knew revell/ monogram had a solid 1 pc body bronco without removable top i've only known of the version with the removable hardtop that can be glued one or left off....... does this one pc body sort of resemble some older snap style kit tooling?i dont know if it does .. its not a real extensive kit in parts but also not a real simple one ...
crazyrichard Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 primer time , checking the mods , lines and i must say i expected more work its actually already very nice
bobthehobbyguy Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Looking good. One comment can't tell from the angle but it looks like the hood is longer than the fenders which looks a little awkward. Other than that the body looks great.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 ^^^ yea I was thinking the same thing about the hood... But this is looking so cool!
crazyrichard Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 thnx and i know about the hood , it is longer but in a way i really liked the look ... i coul look into making extensions on the front edge of the fenders wich run in a point down ..
bobthehobbyguy Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I think the extensions would give the front a better look.
crazyrichard Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 yes i can try something .. although weirdly on the picture it seems worse then looking at it irl ... nice comparison , what i started with > here with better pics and the primer hard some minour clean up work but nothing major
crazyrichard Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Great looking wheels and tires... thnx and the best part is the rear ones are deeper
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 What color are you planning? For some reason I keep seeing this in yellow... Mooneyes decals... Lol
crazyrichard Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 thnx guys i must say james his idea for the yellow made me think and that could be very very cool !! a nice deep yellow maybe with white in there as well .. hmmm and jack i think baby blue could be cool but if i had to choose the yellow talks to me more ..
slusher Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Yellow sounds pretty good Rich and is a hotrod color...
