AZ Boy Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 This was just a little 'filler' project before I get back to funny cars and dragsters. Built box-stock, these Lindbergs are very simple, but make nice shelf models. Enjoy...
Shardik Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Nice job on a very rudimentary kit. A clean box stock build trumps sloppy detailing any day. I've got the '34 from this series, but my plans for it are slightly more elaborate.
AZ Boy Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 Thanks Johann. Rudimentary is right. Heck, the parts cleanup probably took three times longer than the build itself!
Duntov Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Simple kit --- some attention to detail and you mailed it !!! Nice!!!
GMCMAN52 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I really like this kit. You did a great job.......I've been collecting this kit for a long time and have several kit from the early 60's on.........
Hondo Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Very well done, Aaron. Nice to see you "branching out." HA ! Love those Moon discs. Are they from that kit or did you borrow Shoe's....? Great job on this one, my friend !
AZ Boy Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Hey, thanks Jim! Yeah, those came with the kit. Strange not to do any detailing at all. I haven't built box-stock for ages.
Sixties Sam Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Very good build! I like those simple kits. They make nice models with minimal work! I'm always in favor of that! Sam
AZ Boy Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 Thanks Sam! I agree...aside from the parts cleanup, they go together quickly and make fine additions to the display case.
D. Battista Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 The box art always turned me away from this kit, you did a great job to make this kit look Cool...!!
TFchronos Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Very nice work, the chrome dome rims look really good!
AZ Boy Posted May 4, 2014 Author Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys, much appreciated! Those disc wheel covers are the only pieces from the kit that I didn't strip and paint. They were still in good shape when I cut them from the sprue, so I decided to keep them as is. Here's a different angled shot. Edited May 4, 2014 by AZ Boy
