Ira Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Little Details... I added fuel lines from the AMT Star Wars Pod Racer Kit. Then I positioned them then I glued them in place with Zap-A-Gap. I applied a Black Wash over the Rear. Next I used a damp Q-Tip and wiped off some of the Wash from the high spots. Then I painted some details in Red and Green. More Coming...

Ira Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Wash It! Here is a photo before I applied the Detailer, a Black Wash, over the light colored parts. Here it is after the Wash has dried. Right Side Before... After! More Coming...
Ira Posted June 30, 2014 Author Posted June 30, 2014 Shine Time! I spent some time going back and forth touching up the paint. I started to paint Blue, but it would sometimes go onto the Silver Part. After the Blue dried, I came back with the Silver and touched it up. I kept doing this until I got the colors looking pretty good. After the Touch-Up Painting was dry, I sprayed the parts with Gloss Coat, to seal the Colors. More Coming...
Ira Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 The Guys Are In! After adding more Photo details I glued the Windows in place. Then I glued the Cockpit in place. The Top is only set in place, no glue yet. Next, I cut a couple lengths of Aluminum Tubing and glued them on the front Guns as shown. More Coming...
blunc Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 guns eh? "now we see the violence inherent in the system." are ya gonna put some "markers" on the side like they used to do for WW2 fighter pilots?
Ira Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) SHOCKING! I glued the Chassis with Legs to the Body! I found these Shocks in a 12th scale Ferrari Testarossa Kit. I painted them with Vallejo Paints and the sprayed them with Testors Glosscote. I added Bolts to the ends of the Shocks and made Leg Brackets with Plastic Channel Strips. Then I attached a Shock between each Leg and the Chassis. Rear View. More Coming... Edited July 3, 2014 by Ira
Ira Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) guns eh? "now we see the violence inherent in the system." are ya gonna put some "markers" on the side like they used to do for WW2 fighter pilots? Thanks for your comments Mike! This is a vehicle for Treasure Hunting. I was thinking the Guns could be Water Cannons or Lasers to aid in Hunting Treasure, but they could be Machine Guns if you want. It's all for Fun and it's Total Fantasy... Edited July 3, 2014 by Ira
slusher Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Great detail painting Ira, I think Gorge Lucus could have used your creativity.
Ira Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Arms! I'm going to add two Arms to the AT Speeder. I found them in the Star Wars Probe Droid Action Robot Figure. It comes with five different Arms, so I got two Droids, now I have five Pairs of Arms. It is easy to take apart with a screwdriver. I picked two matching Arms. unfortunately there is a hole at the end of the Arm, I covered it with a plastic rhinestone. I painted the Arm with Tamiya Silver Leaf and added Red Details. Coming Soon...
Ira Posted July 6, 2014 Author Posted July 6, 2014 Arm Sockets! I reamed out one end of some round Plastic Tubing for an Arm Socket. Then I cut off 1/4 inch length from that end. I did the same to make a second Socket. Here are the two lengths of Plastic Tubing glued in place. I painted them with Vallejo Brass Acrylic Paint. I tried painting the Straps on the Water Guns a few times and messed up the lines each time. So I applied Bare Metal Foil over the Straps. Now I'm Happy! More Coming...

Ira Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 UFO CRASH! The Base for the AT Speeder will be at a UFO Crash Site! I cut an 18 inch length of a 2 inch by 8 inch Styrofoam for the Base. I cut the Crash Groove with an X-Acto Knife. The Crash Groove goes right off the edge of the Base. More Coming...
Ira Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 One Man Flying Sub! The UFO starts off as a Moebius Mini Flying Sub. The people in the Flying Sub are about 3/4 inch tall. I am going to change the Flying Sub into a One-Seater with the pilot about 3 inches tall. The New One Man Flying Sub will then be 25th Scale. I found a Lego Cockpit that fit pretty well so I trimmed it a little for a better fit. I marked the shape of the Cockpit on the Flying Sub. Then I cut out the Body a little smaller than the outline. More Coming...
cobraman Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Cool ! I think we all knew you couldn't leave that mini sub as is !!!! : )
