Hessel Hemstra Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Recently the Mack 1926 tanker truck was re-issued by Monogram. I had the original one on the shelf so decided to give it a go. I had the dump truck and stake version of the mack already build. The kit is pretty good quality and with lots of small details. Building is not that difficult although the instruction need to be followed accurate. Hessel Photo's:

Superpeterbilt Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I have a bunch of these kits(at least 2 of every version) but I have never built one yet. Ill be watching this. Good start.

Hessel Hemstra Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 While doing some building during a rainy day you realize you did not take photo's.... So the model is come a long way... And some details. The kit is quite detailed so no worries about that.

Hessel Hemstra Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Yes, we have developed a cement-trailer which will be in production soon. The hole project is on a dutch forum. Pics will tell a lot... 3D printed and CNC milled parts with Italeri tires and some minor Evergreen tubing. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=36265&start=190 Hessel Edited May 21, 2014 by Hessel Hemstra
Hessel Hemstra Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 As I said the kit is fairly detailed. Some lighting to be fixxed. With a small lesson from my friend I have now dry brushed some parts. The result looks fine by me. And with some minor things to be done it is almost finished. The next post will probably the final one. Hessel
Old Buckaroo Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Very Impressive, I always wondered how these old timers built up. Yours is looking really good !
Hessel Hemstra Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) The truck is now finished. Because this is the original issue the big decals were ruined. I try to get them somewhere. With this my collection is now three of these 1926 Mack trucks. The 'dump truck' the 'stake truck' and now this 'tank truck' I decided to put them together to make some photos of the trio. I hope you enjoyed this topic. I will get back to you with more models Hessel Edited June 8, 2014 by Hessel Hemstra
