Pavel A. Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) I was opened next very interesting box from Italeri. It´s reissue of DAF NTT. This truck is so ugly, that it ´s wonderful. For this kit I´ve got also PE parts from Czech Truck Models. This set contents:- hood grille including neccessary plastic profiles for the grille ribs, both versions of the mudguard covers (with or without lights), cab steps, wheel hubs and painted dashboard and more. It is very useful set of PE parts. I started with chassis - lenght 1 inch (2,6 cm). I used nuts and bolts from Meng - 1,3 mm diameter, better will be max. 1mm (next time) I added some wiring (nylon wire from some Art Deco Shop) - 0,36mm. Edited September 24, 2014 by Pavel A.
alangarber Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Nice start, some of those kits are ugly. I have seen one of those built and it wasn't bad looking at all. Should be a nice build.
tbill Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 will be watching with great interest, I have one of these kits in my hoard to do at some point. looks great so far, the bolts are a nice detail.
Superpeterbilt Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I just almost bought one of these, but I lost it. Its a cool lookin truck for a foreign job. Ill be watchin
kilrathy10 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Man, this is a great start to this one.....I really like the stretch.....Very nice with the addition of the bolts....Never thought of that, for some reason.....Very nice....
Pavel A. Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Here are few photos from today´s work. I tried to make some next wiring and plumbing, so as isolation on electric installation. Also I made air hose valve on frame. It´s from some evergreen profiles and resin swivel hose ends (Hobby Design).
slusher Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Looks pretty cool to me and you have a nice start on it...

Old Buckaroo Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Very Impressive work, so much can be learned by studying your pics. You have a real eye for bringing out the details.
Pavel A. Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Some short update.... I worked with PE parts on hubs. It is necessary to use older rims (hubs are bigger there), than I sanded tops down. The color of frame will be probably some shiny yellow. Because must I gave it to the white base (Mr.base white 1000).
Danno Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Amazing work, Pavel! I agree with JT and Sean: Much to learn from your techniques!
FullPowerGarage Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Nice techniques! I'll keep some tricks in mind, thanks
Tesla Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Great details Pavel...there is much to be learned from your builds
Pavel A. Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) Here comes short update. I decide to use original yellow color from Daf. It was mixed by my friends in Car paintshop. So I try autenthic Daf yellow on my kit. It is only yellow base but very nice also without clearcoat (can be covered by 2k clearcoat, it is very very nice). So, this is only frame, that it can be not so shiny (wheels are not glued yet, so are not in correct position). Edited December 10, 2014 by Pavel A.
Superpeterbilt Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Very cool man. Im lovin the bright yellow. Great work
