Customization :

What I've done here so far :

- Built the car + complete water decals

- Customized with 3-point strutbar

- Added Yellow towing strap from optional seatbelt parts

- Painted Flat Black topped with gloss clear for interior, grill, and rear diffuser

- Painted red for some rear lamps parts

I didn't know how well I have done for this, but I spill some cement that hit the front left headlamp :(

Welcome to the forum!

The 1:1 car is not actually something that interests me, but you did an excellent job with it! B) Especially if it really is your first one, it's a lot better than mine.

A tip that will help you when installing clear parts. Use white glue instead of regular Model Cement or Super Glue. White glue will dry invisible so it doesn't matter if a bit of it goes on wrong place. Another thing that I'd suggest is that you could paint the window surrounds black (I believe they are black in these cars). It will give a more real car look. I think the best way to do this is when you mask the area with tape and then paint it black.

Otherwise I think it's just right...Very nice work!

Thanks! It is the first one, I used to build Gundams instead of cars.

what's the brand for the white glue actually? I use Tamiya Cement for all my parts. Yeah I forgot to paint window surrounds and lug nuts :(

So it is better to mask it and spray it? I was thinking of hand-painting.

Thanks again for your tips

Elmers white glue the stuff we used as kids. I say great job on this. As far as next build suggestions build what interests you if that is rally cars, exotics, muscle cars or classics there are a lot to choose from in all categories

Very well done, you should be proud of yourself Kristiawan...its evident that while this is your first automobile model, it's not the first model kit you have built. Besides what the guy's above me have mentioned I use either testor's clear part's maker/glue, I like the very fine tip it has because it allow's you to be precise. I also use Deluxe material's RC airplane canopy glue, it dries clear , won't fog and keep's remote control airplane's togther so it is plenty strong enough. As for the trim around the window's I personally like using a black CHISEL TIP Sharpie marker, the CHISEL TIP is important because you can use the straight edge of the marker to drag along the trim line. With a little practice it has become rather easy for me to trim a car in. Good luck, have fun and keep building.

Very nice job on this, especially for your first car. Elmer's glue also makes a clear.blue and clear purple gel glue in the same type of bottles as their white glue. It works very well for gluing clear parts. It also dries clear.

You got very good responses on the glue business. I live here in Finland and I use EriKeeper, but it's probably not available in your area. :)

Personally my favorite way on doing black window trims (I do them very rarely though, as most cars I build have chrome trims so I don't have much experience on this) is that I mask the area and then paint it by paint brush. If I did it with spray, the masks would probably leak from somewhere...

Thanks for the tip, great advice. I will.

I browsed CHISEL TIP and I found it the same with Gundam Paint Marker that I used for this red paint for the tail lamp (If I'm right), so probably I will use it as I have this kind of marker a lot.

Yea, I'll brush it. I was thinking to mask the whole body. Lol. :D
