Nah, $4.75 I think for a venti latte.. 3-4 times a week at most. I have 3 Starbucks within a mile or so of home, incl. 2 with drive thrus..pretty convenient, though I also get coffee from other coffee shops and make it at home and at the office (we have a fancy Italian machine at the office w/ all the bells and whistles, makes very good coffee).

Dang that's pricey, think I'll stick with my sub $2.00 Frozen Cokes from 7-11!

I went to Starbucks. I placed my order, "One large coffee please." Fairy man couldn't fill that order, he demanded, "is that a Vente?" I replied, "No, I want a large coffee, hold the foo foo." He gave up and sold me one large coffee.

Tom, I've never heard the term fairy man before, just the other term..Tim Hortons decaf for me double milk, single sugar with a domed lid..Easier for drinking while driving..In some provinces in Canada it two points if you are eating or drinking while driving...No not alcholol bevereges..I'am talking coffee/pop/burgers etc...

Hmmm... I've always had a cup holder since I started driving in the 70s. It sold for about a dollar at K-Mart. There's probably still one or two out in my garage. You put it on your door and a flap tucked into your inside window ledge. Only we called them beer holders back then.

I think I still have a few of those floating around the house, too.

Considering I'm actually considering going back in time car-wise (ran across a REALLY nice '86 Town Car I'm toying with seriously,) I'll need it.

I can't stand Starbucks coffee. Some of the worst untreated sewage I've ever run across. Even their "blonde" roast reminds me of lightly-used Valvoline without the petroleum greasiness.

Up here, you drink either McDonald's (which I actually like a lot,) Cumbrerland Farms (regional convenience store chain with some surprisingly good coffee,) Honeydew Donuts (good coffee, but DD is trying to squeeze them out of business,) or DD. There used to be a few Tim Horton's around, which I liked, too, but they disappeared.

Funny how this goes from silly needless features in cars to silly, needlessly over-priced coffee.

Exactly. Tried it once, could barely get it down. Probably the worst tasting cup of coffee I've ever had (it was just plain coffee, not one of their frou-frou "coffee drinks").

How they sell the stuff at five bucks a pop is a mystery to me.

Actually it all ties together... needlessly over-priced coffee in your needlessly heated/cooled car cupholder... ^_^

Okay, that's a fair point.

Ya know....my grandmother's cousin in Okaland still has her 1963 Valiant Signet with over 300,000 miles (and at 90-ish, is still driving a little bit,) and with all these silly things in the new cars, that little Plymouth is starting to look better and better...

I think I did tell her I want first refusal on it when she came back here for Nana's 100th. I'll make sure she knows.
