Albie D Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Amazing build! All those little details, executed flawlessly, make this racer stand out. I can almost smell the salt..
W-409 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 (edited) Really nice Salt Flat Racer. I like the look of those wheels (Or are they hubcaps?) and great work with the details. Engine bay looks very realistic. Also the colors on those parts are spot on... They look like real metal to me. Agreed, more pics would be nice. Edited June 9, 2014 by W-409
Dragline Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 FANTASTIC execution and design work. Engine bay is phenomenal. Nicest salt flats car I've seen in a while. Bob
58 Impala Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Beautiful job, where did you get those disc wheel covers? Also where did you get those carbs? Edited June 22, 2014 by 58 Impala
Roncla Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Beautiful job, where did you get those disc wheel covers? Also where did you get those carbs? The wheel disc were home made on my lathe and the carbs are Model Car Garage metal cast resin #901.
58 Impala Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Thanks Ron, nice job on the lathe with those discs. You ought make and sell them. I have some 3/4" aluminum button rivets someone gave me, going try thinning them down and polish them up. I did that with some 1/4" rivets for my 41 Chevy truck, they came out pretty good.
