BigBad
Why not go with a classic Trans-Am racing paint scheme from the 60's... Penske Racing-Sunoco blue?
signmike
Well the body is painted black, now that you're telling me, I just don't know what to do because a Penske colour scheme would be great. I'll think about it while the construction of the chassis goes on... Here it is: Edited July 9, 2014 by signmike
signmike
The putty I use is very similar to Eurosoft which I used before, it is smooth and pretty hard when dry so sculpting is possible without breaking it. But not sure if that brand is available everywhere, I live in the Montreal area Quebec Canada. The only problem I had is if you flex the styrene a little ( like holding it too hard) it comes off from the plastic, I sand with a rough sandpaper before to give it some better grip. I have glued it back with CA once...that got me scared... Mixed with regular blue hardener...

signmike
I used Tamiya spray. The shine is at 90% I would say, I will clear coat with catalysed clear when striping is done
BigBad
Whatever color you choose, it will be a stunner! For the very nice craftsmanship and also the Camaro lends itself nicely to the Japanese GT type racer. I'll definitely be watching! good job neighbor! signmike
Well I might put this one aside for a whilw, I don't have wheels big enough to fill the rear fender, I made the mistake because I trusted the Photoshop images that I used as references and I'd need 20'' or 22'' rear wheels to really look good. I posted pics with aftermarket 19'' wheels and the LeMans Corvettes wheels. I think I'll have to fill in the fender opening with 1/8'' inserts to make it look OK. I'll try to find the japanese site where I bought those wheels to try and get 20'' wheels for it... Edited July 14, 2014 by signmike
Wonderbread Kustomz
Man that's a shame, because this is looking killer!
Kennyboy
Hey Michel, you could put some pegasus 23" sleeves on there and then you can insert just about anything into them + you can control the offsets then. BTW, The body looks awesome!! Edited July 15, 2014 by Kennyboy
signmike
Well I found Pegasus wheels today, I ordered 3 kind, 23'' it will take some 3 weeks to get them. In the meantime I'll start working on the chassis. Thinking about twin turbos... Houhou
signmike
I received the pegasus 23 inchers. They fill the opening better but I would have liked a bit more rubber specially on the rear wheels. Now gotta choose the wheel design... A) Or more popular... DynoMight
Bottom, the top would look like something that you'd put on a stock Camaro. The bottoms look more, er, racy?

Kennyboy
I like the second set too! With the chrome stripped of course......maybe like a matte black with a red stripe. Just an idea.....
