Steve that is a fantastic Mercury! Those rear scrips are done perfect, very steady paint and foil work. Beautiful color choice, thanks for showing it to us!

It's a beauty Steve! The paint looks glass smooth! I've been after a '60 Parklane for a while now. I've got a '59 Parklane hardtop and a '61 Monterey. But, no '60. I love the rear section and tail lights on these cars.

Thanks Roger! I actually have 3 '60 Parklanes. One is the one you see here. Another is a hardtop kit that I will probably build some time in the not too distant future. The last is a convertible kit I picked up in a antique shop many years ago. It does have some issues, ie. the windsheild frame is broken, ( I do have a Modelhaus replacement) The scripts are quite faint & the rear bumper is broken, (probably repairable). It's kind of a mish-mash of original parts & resin, but I believe it's all there. (Not sure, been a while since I checked it) But I could probably be convinced to let it go. :) Steve

Fantastic Mercury! Your builds are always spectacular, but this might be the best one that I have seen! Extra credit for getting the black paint job right, a color that many modelers hate (Including me) and I've tried doing only two gloss black cars... Both of them didn't turn out as I hoped. But this looks perfect and nice BMF work, too. Especially textes on the rear fenders look like Photo Etch parts.

Thanks Niko! The paint is far from perfect but I learned a lot in the process & I think the next one will hopefully benefit from that. My next planned black build will be the Mobius '71 Ford pickup when it comes out. I had a good friend in the 80s who had a black '73 with a red interior. This will be a sort of tribute to his truck. I'll say it turned out okay...it turned out great.

Steve, between subject matter and execution, you're one of my favorite people to watch post stuff.
