My sister has been living in that backward, forsaken state for a few years now. Being the "flattest" is the most positive distinction I've heard about that state in a loooooong time!

And don't they also have the biggest bugs of all the states?

I do like a couple parts of Florida--the Keys where I grew up, and South Florida (Miami up to West Palm Beach)...wouldn't mind living down there again, maybe when I retire in 20-25 years..

Don't forget gators, strawberries, snakes, deer, bear, possum, raccoon, armadillo, blueberries, sweet corn, etc., and ME.

Having been born here 64 years ago and spent time ( lived in) in all the states south of Virginia and east of the Mississippi, I like it here in northern Florida, mild winters, great outdoor activities year round and not too many Yankees trying to muck things up :D . Flattest state, just means we can see farther than most people at any given time. I'll take hurricanes over any other natural disaster, we get 2 weeks notice before anything happens. Sink holes have been happening all over the US, not just in Florida. The Palmetto bugs (cockroaches to you Yankees ) :P aren't any worse than anywhere else I lived, they're just active longer due to the good weather, Raid cures most problems.

Jim, I've got you beat, 6'3"-240 ( wish I could divest myself of a few #s, maybe if I rode my bike more?).
