Harry P. Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 My sister has been living in that backward, forsaken state for a few years now. Being the "flattest" is the most positive distinction I've heard about that state in a loooooong time! And don't they also have the biggest bugs of all the states?
Joe Handley Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 What, does the NSA think people have something to hide in Florida Harry?
Rob Hall Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I do like a couple parts of Florida--the Keys where I grew up, and South Florida (Miami up to West Palm Beach)...wouldn't mind living down there again, maybe when I retire in 20-25 years..
crazyjim Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 And don't they also have the biggest bugs of all the states? Don't forget gators, strawberries, snakes, deer, bear, possum, raccoon, armadillo, blueberries, sweet corn, etc., and ME.
Harry P. Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Don't forget gators, strawberries, snakes, deer, bear, possum, raccoon, armadillo, blueberries, sweet corn, etc., and ME. So how big are you?
Harry P. Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 6' and 205 lbs this morning. Well gee, that's not very big.
oldnslow Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Having been born here 64 years ago and spent time ( lived in) in all the states south of Virginia and east of the Mississippi, I like it here in northern Florida, mild winters, great outdoor activities year round and not too many Yankees trying to muck things up . Flattest state, just means we can see farther than most people at any given time. I'll take hurricanes over any other natural disaster, we get 2 weeks notice before anything happens. Sink holes have been happening all over the US, not just in Florida. The Palmetto bugs (cockroaches to you Yankees ) aren't any worse than anywhere else I lived, they're just active longer due to the good weather, Raid cures most problems. Jim, I've got you beat, 6'3"-240 ( wish I could divest myself of a few #s, maybe if I rode my bike more?). Edited June 24, 2014 by oldnslow
crazyjim Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 I'm a Yankee Robert and I still have those A100 seats for you.
oldnslow Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 I was thinking of you when I wrote that . I'm going to try and be at the next meeting and we can settle up then, Thanks for holding on to them for me.
High octane Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 The last time I rented a condo in South Carolina 'bout two years ago, only one Palmetto bug showed up, and that was enough. LOL!
Rob Hall Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 NO THANKS! We have something like that here in AZ...my dogs chase them.
High octane Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Have at it Jim, and let me get out of your way. LOL!
Joe Handley Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 We have something like that here in AZ...my dogs chase them. What kind of doggie treats do they make?
High octane Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I was checkin' out the website for your Mopar club John, very cool!
