Old Buckaroo Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Awesome - this is one you hardly ever see. Hard to find and not a easy kit to build. Fantastic work Phil - a great addition to the collection. Such a unique aircraft
philo426 Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 (edited) Thanks! The real plane was captured on USAAF Gun camera footage. Edited June 23, 2014 by philo426
philo426 Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 yes it is esoteric but real nevertheless. The Russians flew it in '46.
mustang1989 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 If there's one thing I like it's unusual aircraft like this one which is nicely represented here. Alot of the Luft 46 stuff was "out there" but there were some good ideas floating around in all of those concept planes and subsequently real planes such as this. Thumbs up on the build and something different Phillip!
philo426 Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Sure!i like the fact it was actually flown and the test pilots gave it favorable marks for flying nicely despite the radically forward raked wings.
mustang1989 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Sure!i like the fact it was actually flown and the test pilots gave it favorable marks for flying nicely despite the radically forward raked wings. Those guys had a knack for technology and radical aircraft concepts and some, like this one, were flown. Another bird, the Ho-229, was also flown. Someday I'll get a 48th scale version of that plane to build.....................as soon as I find a place to display it. lol
mustang1989 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Suweeet! These things just look eerie and aggressive from almost any stance. Zoukei Mura has thier hand in the fire on these kits in 1/32 scale now. Check it out................... http://www.zoukeimura.co.jp/en/sentiment/oyajiblog_050.html
