Dr. Cranky Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Hey, I just came back from vacation and finally sat down to read through all the mags, and see that in this latest issue of MCM there are no Jairus Watson eye candy. What's up with that? I hope he is not demanding a sabatical or rest!
peter31a Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Hey, I just came back from vacation and finally sat down to read through all the mags, and see that in this latest issue of MCM there are no Jairus Watson eye candy. What's up with that? I hope he is not demanding a sabatical or rest! I noticed that as well. No longer listed as moderator here in forums anymore either. Will miss his input to both. But things change. Look at the other magazine talking about web only. As much as we wish things would stay as we like'em they keep changing anyway. Peter
dub Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I noticed it right away. Sketch pad is the first thing I look at usually. Harry had it last month, and I did enjoy it. P-chopping is really cool and lots of possibilities are there. Not to take any thing away from Harry, I really enjoy Jairus' artwork. He is a true master of automotive art. His stuff really pops and jumps off the medium and seems almost alive in a cartoony kind of way. (that's a good thing) If he is leaving the mag, even for a while, he will be missed. I'd still like to see where his truckster build is going, though!
Modelmartin Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I missed sketchpad, too. I hope it was temporary. I hope nothing bad happened to Jairus - like getting a job.
Gregg Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 WHAT! Work for wages.... ??? Wages??? What dat???
Dr. Cranky Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 (edited) There you are, and now there's Gregg, it is beginning to look like the great best times are back. Since there was no column from you two this month, and since I am a big fan of the column (like many people here are), I had started to miss the banter between the two of you . . . I mean, you know, there was Sonny and Cheer, Abbott & Costello, Bert & Ernie . . . I mean, the list goes on!!! But MCM had J & G or G & J and suddenly you both sent us all into a tailspin of withdrawal!!! What's it gonna take to get the two of you back to the mag? Edited January 9, 2008 by DamnCranky

Dr. Cranky Posted January 12, 2008 Author Posted January 12, 2008 Would it help if we all sat around the table eating beach sand pit bbq pork and poi and held hands? If you listen closely that's the sound of the immortal Iz singing his own rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow . . . " He sang like an angel, that's for sure!!!
