Joe Handley Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I worked for almost thirteen years as a proofreader for a printing firm that catered to the legal profession. The mistake that still stands out the most was an announcement for a firm that had hired a new lawyer. I marked the proof for a typo and sent it back to the typesetter with the following note: "FOR GOD'S SAKE, PETER, MAKE SURE THIS IS CORRECTED IN THE SYSTEM!" The correct spelling of the lawyer's last name was "Fick"... Are you sure that typesetter didn't have a less than pleasurable prior experience with this Fick character
unclescott58 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Back to this one. What is a cured vehicle? Scott
DynoMight Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Oh, you Feds... There are no known unknowns, only unknown unknowns! Yum? No, Really?
Lucas van H Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Back to this one. What is a cured vehicle? Scott Sorry for the late reply, didn't know you quoted me Scott: I think it means that the vehicle is stolen and someone bought it even when he knew it was stolen. I don't know what to make of it either.
unclescott58 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Makes you wonder what he eats... Now that's funny! Scott
Lucas van H Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Makes you wonder what he eats... This is gold!
Tom Geiger Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) How come when I post deer funnies people get technical? I posted the above photo on FaceBook with the status of "Mystery Solved as to who was pooping on the front walkway... a certain little dog is happy to be off the suspect list!" And the responses I get are that deer poop and dog poop don't look alike... who are these people, CSI? Or just dullards who don't get jokes? Edited September 27, 2014 by Tom Geiger
Joe Handley Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Well, that would explain why he's smilin'!
