Bruno Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Finished this one recently, it's the Revell kit with Polar Lights rear wheels and slicks, added a few wires and hoses here and there. Paint is automotive waterborne basecoat and 2 part urethane clear.
Len Geisler Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 BANG-ZZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!! Love it!!!!
W-409 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 You do great work with each build. This one is no exception. Very nice paint job and sharp detailing on the engine. I like the new wheels and tires, too, I think they look much better than those that came with the kit. Very nice work overall.
Harry P. Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Man, that's really beautiful! Superb job all around.
jwrass Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Bruno, Fantastic!!!!! I love what you did with all aspects of all the paint on the build! Interior tins, motor, chassis and the body wow!!! it still looks wet!! jwrass
nitro norman Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Great looking model! Love the paint. It's good to see some one build this car more like the original. The rear wheels in the kit didn't even exist in 69-70. Most of the pictures you see of this car had wheels with gold centers like your model. You did your homework. good job.
Mooneyzs Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 This is one gorgeous model. I love the stance, did you modify it or was that how it was in the kit. It sits perfect. Again.. Nice job!
charlie@mrtractorsales.com Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Bruno, nice work how long did it take to complete ? I saw this car at Lions Drag Strip in 1971, you did it right. Charlie
Bruno Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Thanks everyone! No mods needed, that's the stance I ended up with straight from the kit. I don't know exactly how much time it took to build it, a few months maybe...? I always build multiple kits at the same time so it's hard to tell... plus I am a slowwww builder so...
majel Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 That is a super clean looking model, great execution and skills!
gtx6970 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Very well done. One of my favorite cars of the period . I was pleasently suprised when this kit was released . as the chassis is this particular car only.
Speedfreak Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 That is beautiful Bruno, that's one of the best looking dragsters I've seen on here. Thanks for sharing the pics, nice work!
Terminator-Fox Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Wow! Absolutely stunning, wish I could do that well
PappyD340 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 WOW!!!! That is gorgeous!!!!!! I agree with Ron!!
John Teresi Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Bruno…….this is such a nice looking build…….VERY VERY nice!!!!
