Amtronic Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Built this from a swap meet kit that had a broken cab. I built it as if it were a concrete mixer that had laid over and ate some guardrail while the mixer body came off in the wreck.

Superpeterbilt Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Excellent work. This is an often unexplored side of modeling. Not unlike weathering, it takes a lot of skill to pull off a realistic look. A local concrete company had a Sterling blow a steer tire on the Interstate. Lets just say your truck is in much better shape than how that Sterling ended up.
Petetrucker07 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) Out here in beverly hills weve had a couple mixers take some bad spills, that road is now closed to all trucks. The mixers were banged up very bad, these were very bad accidents. The last 1 the drum did come off and crush a car Edited July 2, 2014 by Petetrucker07
kilrathy10 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 This is done quite well....Tough to pull a build like this off....One of the few models I haven't attempted.....Just not brave, enough, I guess....Very nice work.....

disabled modeler Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Cool idea and use for a damaged model.....think I might have to try one
Biggie Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Great wreck, just add some little dio and it will be perfect
guitarsam326 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 very convincing, we had a dump truck at work to blow a right front steer tire with 15 tons on and it flipped end over end down a hill, and believe me it didn't fare nearly as well as your truck! but the truck was rebuilt believe it or not, i wish i could upload the pics
