ChrisBcritter Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 (cough - cough - cough) Just needs a scratch-n-sniff card that smells like burning rubber.

Austin T Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I find nothing wrong with that At least the Europeans get down to business and don't take forever to do something.
unclescott58 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Who was it that said,"Too much of ________ (fill in the blank) is wonderful."? It seems right to see a Dodge/Mopar product doing something as politically incorrect and primitive as these burn outs. Obliviously the guys at Fiat understand American muscle. This is a good thing. Scott
grayghost Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 That just screams Tim the tool man Taylor. Arrr Arrrr Arrrrr more power. American HP at it's finest.
freakshow12 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) You guys crack me up It's also what 9000 lbs looks like Edited July 8, 2014 by freakshow12

grayghost Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) 9000 lb for a challenger. Didn't think about that. Edited July 8, 2014 by grayghost
Joe Handley Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 You guys crack me up It's also what 9000 lbs looks like Good thing it has 707hp to help propel it sideways while producing copious amounts of tire smoke
freakshow12 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 9000 lb for a challenger. Didn't think about that. There are two of them there are there not?
freakshow12 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Just a question for you guys, how many of you have been in or driven a car with that kind of power?
Joe Handley Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I'd have to add most of my cars together to get that level of power.
freakshow12 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Just 3 of mine added up are 1743 at the tire! The 14 Shelby now makes 750 at the wheels. The 07 Shelby makes 525 at the wheels and my 97 cobra makes 468 at the tire.
Austin T Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 And?This thread is about the new Challenger, no need to derail the OP.
freakshow12 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Just makes me laugh that everyone thinks this car will be a world beater with 707 hp. Most forget it's almost 4500 lbs. don't get me wrong. I will very likely get one as it's a bad habit for me.
TFchronos Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) Oh yeah, that sounds so good. Hope I see one of the road someday. Edited July 8, 2014 by TFchronos
CJ1971 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Just makes me laugh that everyone thinks this car will be a world beater with 707 hp. Most forget it's almost 4500 lbs. don't get me wrong. I will very likely get one as it's a bad habit for me. Far from it. I don't think it's a World beater, but neither is the Mustang or Corvette or Camaro. There are way too many foreign exotics such as any Lambo, Ferrari, Pagani, Bugatti, Mercs etc that will cream any of the "big 3s " best. Yes they cost waaaaaay more than the big 3s, but they're waaaay better in every sense of the word - better. But your everyday guy doesn't have a few million to spend on them. The Mopars/Chevys/Fords are great value for money. That's the point. I posted the video because that noise... That beautiful, brutal noise.... 707hp of Supercharged Hemi brutality! Not to brag. Not to say it's a world beater. Just so others could hear that sweet noise. It's the only way I'll ever get to hear it because Dodge doesn't sell them here in Australia. Such a pity.
Joe Handley Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 There is something truely fantastic about the sound of any of the high powered American V-8's, no matter if it leaves a factory here in the States or down there in Austraila. I was playing Forza 4 some last night and driving a Holden HSV W427 (in under describing it, a Z06 engined Pontiac G8) on there and it was just such a nasty sounding, tail happy, tire smoke generating monster Couple times I got some good drifing scores just trying to get it around corners too
Dragfreak Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 But if you think about it, if you buy any of new big 3 muscle cars and put the same amout of money into it for what say a new lambo costs, you'll have a faster car. It's just a better bang for your buck
