Randy Kern Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 An all aluminum 1:1 beauty, and my favorite new style Ferrari. I do like the red ones, but I had to do this one in my favorite shade of blue. The finish is Dupli-Color Med Maui Blue, and for something different in the interior, I went with silver and black. Another excellent Tamiya kit that went together flawlessly. Yes Cruz, these kits are officially a vice of mine, and I have more to do
Randy Kern Posted January 12, 2008 Author Posted January 12, 2008 Jairus wants more close-ups, so I included a few here.
Raul_Perez Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Beautiful build and paint of a really great kit, Randy!! I can't believe that the LHS where I live has had to mark theses down 50% and still can't sell them. I guess that's what you get when you live in a farming town. If it were John Deere green with bright yellow wheels he probably couldn't keep enough of them in stock!!
crispy Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I came in here expecting to see a red Ferrari! I'm glad it's blue! Very very nice 360! That blue fits it well and your build is very neat and clean. Chris
Zoom Zoom Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Nice work! Love the color scheme...anything but resale red is fine by me That color looks like it would be a good match for the bright blue used on the Mini Cooper S. It's not an easy shade to find in hobby form, nor mix.
Ranchwagon Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Excellent build! Now I need to look for one.....
kelson Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 sharp looking car, color choice is different, but i like it as one can only look at so many red ferrrari's ,thx for sharing.
Daniel Peterson Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Like it or not, Randy, you just made the "Off The Bench" feature in the February issue of Classic Plastic...go ahead...try and stop me! Bwahahahahahahahahahah!
ismaelg Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Nice! My all time non-Corvette favorite car in my favorite color! That same car was my first Tamiya kit. Thanks,
Enzoenvy1 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Awesome build there! I love the kit almost as much as the real car. I love this color as well. Great job on a great model. Add a bit of wash to the lugs with some diluted Tamiya Smoke and the lugnuts will really pop.
dub Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Excellent work, as always, Randy! I love the engine detail. Your latest group of builds are making sure I don't stop building Euro cars altogether in lieu of all the rods I have on the bench! Can't wait to see it in February.
