Rob Hall Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 That's pretty cool...one thing I've noticed w/ the models and Tomica police car diecasts going back 40 years or so of Japanese patrol cars is the peaked black section on the hood..wonder what that is about.
Dominik Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 cool policecar! the doorhandles...aren't they painted? still looks like its unpainted plastic.
slusher Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Very sharp model and something different. I like it...
Harry P. Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Just a follow-up to Rob's question, because I was also wondering about the black scallop thingie on the hoods of Japanese police cars. Anyone?
Agent G Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Good looking car Jonathan. Harry I have searched and searched but have found no definitive answer. I will email some of my Japanese counterparts and see what they say. G
blubaja Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 My Japanese friend said there is no significance to the paint job. Other than the lower black helps hide dirty lower body.
