Ace-Garageguy Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 For whatever reason, your machine isn't recognizing the format the sound is presented in on that old clip. Are you running a Mac? And is the video clip running under Flash? I've seen references to no-sound in Chrome while using Flash.

Harry P. Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I've tried playing that video on youtube and on several other websites where it's posted. All are silent.
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 What's the default video player your OS or browser is trying to use? It looks like YouTube is using HTML5 as default in Chrome. I thought Chrome supported just about everything and would automatically detect the right player for whatever format, but there's a dis-connect somewhere in your system, apparently. There are several similar problems, like this thread...https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/6uWlmTFNmcM
mnwildpunk Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Harry you're not the only one that can't get sound
Harry P. Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Harry you're not the only one that can't get sound Ok, good to know it's not just me.
clovis Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Great video! I enjoyed watching it, and the video actually answered a few manufacturing questions that I had from that era.
ChrisBcritter Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Note what happens here: When the tow truck pulls this Impala back over, a big puff of dust comes out from under the front and the car lies flat on the ground: I bet the car they were testing had air suspension that failed in the crash, probably one reason GM gave up on the idea. Also note they somehow managed to air it up a bit before they shot the closeup :
