crazyrichard Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 yes me too bob but there are now hanging on the wooden pillar the glass is on (at the beginning) even superglue would not glue the thing to the glass edge .. i found out nothing wants to stick to that stuff , maybe on the surface but not on those edges ...
72 Charger Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Great details Richard those goggles are cool . Whats next?Parts washer?Power Sander ? Welding rig? Inspection Lamp?
crazyrichard Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) thnx dave and yes still so much that i can build and add started on a compressor tonight , just took some stuff and start building , usually i have the garage beside me so i can keep eye on scale and dimensions this time i didnt .. when i had what i have now i put it in the garage and laughed hard , it was way smaller then i imagined or wanted .. but no worries it just about right to use as a small movable compressor , the white frame beneith is already removed so i wall add a handle and 2 wheels and make it into a movable compressor here is where i glued the ear protection in place on the wooden wondow frame thing ... there i could glue it tight .. to bad it doidnt work on the window , that looked way better Edited November 10, 2014 by crazyrichard
72 Charger Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 He He He I see what you mean just a tad to small
crazyrichard Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 but with wheels and a handle its perfect for a small movable compressor so i will add those
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Great work. So when will you consider this done.
Ramfins59 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Richard...... You're really "going nuts" with all of the fantastically detailed little items that you are including in your diorama...... and everything looks GREAT. Your scratchbuilding is wonderful. Once you put some cars and people in there, and add furniture and stuff in the office area, then dirty up the place a little it's going to be even more awesome than it already is. Keep up the great work.
Randy D Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Hi Richard, Just beautiful work you are doing, as usual !!!! Love all the latest details, keep going !! Randy
David G. Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 At first I thought you were going to make a set of ummm... hands to place near the grinder. Sort of like the old "Don't Let This Happen To You!" safety films. I'm glad they turned out to be gloves. I'm still enjoying the show, keep up the awesome work. David G.
crazyrichard Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 thnx a lot guys !! and dave hahaha lol , could do it add some blood lol .. nah lets not ... and so much idea's still .. the office will get a lot of stuff as well !! atm i put wheels under the compressor a handle gauge housing and just sprayed it in primer ...
crazyrichard Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 the compressor is done , not 100% statisfied especially the logo it kind of came out thick and .. this one is a second one the first one i took of but damaged the paint so this has to some on .. or i could weather the spot .. mhh but i added wheels , a handle , made a turned airhose (rolled sopme plastic wire around a wooden pin and heated it so it stayed curled) .. some wiring and more details
72 Charger Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Wow Richard That looks fantastic Are you going to do a full range of air tools too? Would you ever cast some of the tools your making?
crazyrichard Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Wow Richard That looks fantastic Are you going to do a full range of air tools too? Would you ever cast some of the tools your making? thnx and yes i should make some airtools later .. and well no casts i would not know how and to be hounest so must work .. i'd rather build something new and difefrent if i have a nother garage build .. and yes i understand i could sell them but nahh thats not my cup of tea
crazyrichard Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 i made it olkd , used and beat up , still working , mix between new and old .. it just didnt look right shiney , even a mild wash didnt help so i used pigment powder
72 Charger Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Hey Richard no worrys about casting I dont know how to do it too (just a thought) That compressor looks even better now
crazyrichard Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 THNX DAVE AND WELL I OUNCE QUICKLY SAW HOW THEY DID IT .. BUT YOU HAVE TO MAKE A MOLD (oops capslock is on lol) then cast and then you have the cast mold .. sort of like that .. a lot of work lol i'd rather us the time to be creative ..but casts def. are cool
crazyrichard Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 thnx bob ... the compressor got some silver on the rims , the hose is hung on the compressor and i gave it a fixed place in front of the dio next to the lift , that gives it a nice dimension and some depth , way more to come made a box from copperplate folded it rough so it looks like a old battered box . put several small drills inside , again a nice detail that gives the drill press a extra dimension , more stuff like this will follow tiny drill on the drill table and after the close ups one for reference , just for fun
bpletcher55 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 awesome work RICHARD ,love all the small details .keep them coming .
crazyrichard Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 thnx blair and well here is another really small thing > started on a small oil can , like to spray some for lubrication .. man its small .. so far its made out of 5 parts glued together ... fidely
crazyrichard Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 some paint and a ribbed hose (very small guitar string)
crazyrichard Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 its starting to gain some atmosphere now .. with the first small details it comes alive .. now these are only the first of many many smalls that will be added .. more big stuff also will follow i just build without a plan so sometimes i get an idea and go for it .. so many plans still put the oilspraycan on the bench ..and then clamped (lol) a sheet of copperplate in the vice , again that makes it that more exiting and like if they are working ... very very close up 2 flyers / car folders on the counter and if you got good eyes you can actually read most on it hihi
wrecker388 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 This garage is insane! It just gets more bada$$ every time I look at this thread! Your really killing it with this one Richard!
