When the lights came up at two

I caught a glimpse of you

And your face looked like

Something Death brought with him in his suitcase

Your pretty face....

Waitin at the train station

Waitin for that train

To take me

Take me away

From this, lonesome town

To bad, people put me through a lot of changes

And my girl put me dow-hown

Jimi Hendrix, Hear My Train A-Comin'? If it's not that, that has similar lyrics.

I've got all of their albums. Earlier stuff is better.

Positively 4th Street by Bob Dylan.

I saw Bob Dylan on the Bangor Waterfront a couple of years ago, 2012 I think?

I agree.

and I hate songs when the name is not in the song. can never remember them.

She's a witch of trouble in electric blue.

In her own mad mind she's in love with you,

With you. Now what you gonna do?

I heard a Cream/Clapton joke I don't agree with, but it's funny.

What's the similarity between Clapton and coffee?

They're both cr_p without Cream.

It's more relevant substituting Ginger Baker for Clapton…. ^_^

I actually saw Jack Bruce perform this past spring in Manhattan.

funny, I will have to remember that. not to turn this into a discussion forum, but I really don't see the admiration for Clapton. I feel there is a lot better guitar players. what am I missing? he should stick to blues rather than songs like "lay down sally" and alike. I am not saying Clapton is no good, but I will take Billy Gibbons over him.

ok, back to the lyrics

Working on the sound of the band

Trying to get the music right

Two go out working

Three stay home at night

So I start a revolution from my bed

Because you said the brains I had went to my head

Step outside 'cuz summertime's in bloom

Stand up beside the fireplace, take that look from off your face

You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out

Picked up a boy just south of

Mobile Gave him a ride, filled him with a hot meal I was sixteen, he was twenty-one

Rode with us to Memphis

And papa woulda shot him if he knew what he'd done

Gypsies, tramps and thieves by Cher

I'm kind of embarrassed that I know that

Im with ya. I respect the guy for being who he is, but hes not even in my top 50. Hes had more misses than hits for me. For the most part I think hes a better song writer than guitar hero. Theres not one single solo of his that I ever thought "WOW!". I think he rested on his laurels way too soon in his life, and hes just been a big loaf of wheat bread since then. Yeah, hes there, but theres better stuff.Again, I like and respect him, I just dont get the hype.

I think he's fine. His new song "Gotta Get Over" is worth a listen, as is the whole of Old Sock.

His music in the nineties stank like an old sock. Anyways!

And I know, if I don't, I'll go out of my mind

Better leave her behind

There's a party tonight, you're in a red light zone

If you don't want a ticket you better move on

If you break the law you gotta pay your dues

Ain't much better if you play it by the rules

'Cause it's so easy, it's so right

It's so easy to rock it with your body, baby

It's so easy, it's so right

It's so easy if you drive it all night
