To All: A few of us are having fun with this, I know I am! Thanks to Jollysipper :D for starting this thread. What are your thoughts about leaving the songs on for a period of time (say a week) and if no one gets the answer the author answers the question. I have had one of Tubbs songs on the tip of my tounge. One of Snakes tunes I lost sleep over last night lol. I don't really care what everyone else does but I'm going to play old school, I'm not going to try to find something by searching on the internet. I think looking at lyrics on inserts or on the internet to get the proper phase if you don't no it is fair game, I did it on some of these song I have listed however, the songs came from my head and my music library.

What are your thoughts?????

Miles: It's driving me crazy!!!! Like it's right there I'm gonna say Zep or Hendricks

Tubbs: I'll guess. The Who

I have Ten More!!! All rock no fluff, 60s-80s

1) But I keep on roll'in on

With the faith of the lord above

2) Businessmen they drink my wine

Plowman dig my earth

3) Oh won't you come with me and take my hand

Oh won't you come with me and walk this land

4) You were meant for me

Would you grab your coat and flee

Your a mystery but you just had to be

5) He said he'd put a bullet right through poor ol Josies chest

But Josie wasn't like the rest

He don't like bullet holes in his vest

6) People of the town are strange

and their proud of were they came

7) Don't you know were play'in with the fire

But we can't stop this burning desire

8) This mighty fine chick just put my spine out of place

9) All over this country I've seen it the same

No body win'in at this type of game

10) Squito's start buzz'in bout this time of year

She's going round back said she'd meet me there

I know I'm going to look like a big dork here but can someone tell me how to use this Multi Quote, Quote function works. I have tried six ways from Sunday and nothing works for me.

You waste my coin Sam, all you can

To jail my fellow man

For smoking all the noble weed

You need much more than him

You've been telling lies so long

Some believe they're true

So they close their eyes to things

You have no right to do

Just as soon as you are gone

Hope will start to climb

Please don't stay around too long

You're wasting precious time

1. Heartbreaker, Zep.

2. All Along the Watchtower, written by Robert Zimmerman but covered by many, prolly most notably by a Mr. J. Marshall Hendrix.

3. Inagoddadavia, Iron Butterfly.

8. Suffragette City, Ziggy Stardust. B)

10. Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo, written by Rick Derringer, performed by many including himself, but IMHO the best and definitive version was on Johnny Winter And.

first off, I STILL do not know how to use this multi quote thing, I do a lot of cut-n-paste.

which lyric are you thinking of. I have to go back and find ones that were not answered.

I have answered all mine without the help of my best buddy Google. I have Googled some answers cause I just could not get them and they were really pising me off and I had to find out, but then I would not post up the answer. I will also Google some of my posted lyrics so I get them right or don't feel like typing the whole thing out.

so, carry on my wayward sons.....

Snake,

Very good! I am a huge Johnny Winter fan and have seen him many times. I saw him in Chicago at the old cow palace in like 1974 or 75 this is a list of the cast of characters that were in the band that night

Randy Joe Hobbs, Rick Derringer, Dan Hartman and Edgar made a cameo. I can't remember who was on the drums that night. When Edgar came out the crowd went nuts, It was a few years post Frankenstein, they played like a 20 minuet version and brought the house down. I have much of his collection, favorite CDs, Albums. Saints and Sinners and John Dawson Winter III these are must have for a JDW fan

I'm very glad you guys are having fun with this topic! Shows just how cool this forum really is. I should check in more often, as I've known a lot of the songs posted, but they get answered quickly!

Here's a tough one for you guys:

"I've got my pride, I drink my wine,

I'd drink only the finest, 'cept I haven't earned a dime in several months,

Or were it years"..........

I saw Edgar around '74 or '75 and Johnny made a cameo. Brownsville Station opened for them.

Ever notice that most of the songs that have the word "blues" in the title...aren't really blues?

(I'm a 12-bar blues purist, and the finest practitioners of the art IMHO were ZZ Top on their first two albums.)

Here's one that does and is!

just like Dylan's Mr Jones'
