tubbs Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I've noticed your area hasn't been enjoying BBQ Weather yet. Here's a Picture I took from our East Patio last Monday Morning - No Jacket required BTW have you figured out that 2 for one Song? you suck!! walked the dog this morning in 20 degree weather. our norm at this time is the mid 60's. we will not hit 60 till Friday. so, no, I did not get the whole answer. and I got a headache from thinking about it and from the wife pan-to-the-head for repeating the lyric over and over. it's Simon and Garfarkel Wednesday morning 3 AM, which was also their name of the debut album, but I have no idea what the other name is. and I was joking about the "you suck" thing. it's more of a jealousy thing. got an empty room down there, I can do yard work, Jan can cook but you will have to roll the dice on the 13 year old.?
tubbs Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Well, Looks like Tubbs ain't gonna get this so it's now Open Season. As I said it's got 2 Right Answers!hey, just give me time.... I got half... who listens to simon and garfarkel anyways?

tubbs Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 The girls loved this song when I was in High School................. "More Than Words" by Extreme...correct TJ on both accounts, well, I was out of school at that time... these lyrics are WHACKED OUT too, read the whole song lyrics and its confusing. I think its a break up song just like Journey's "lovin, touchin, squeezin". girls love that song and its about cheating. don't know. back to Extremes prnografitti, great CD. besides "more than words". great guitar work.

Crazy Ed Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 hey, just give me time.... I got half... who listens to simon and garfarkel anyways? You gets a Point! as to the latter..........Well I do and given you got the first song, I'd guess you do/did also BTW, sorry 'bout the Headaches.......
Snake45 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 boy, she looked good in those roller skates and short shorts, didn't she. did she [Linda Ronstadt] ever do an original song? Dunno, but she had bigger hits with several than the original artists. One that comes immediately to mind is Poor Poor Pitiful Me. To this day most people don't know that was written and originally recorded by Warren Zevon. Her recording of Hasten Down the Wind might have been released before Zevon's own version of it--I'd have to check the album release dates to see.
Harry P. Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Linda Ronstdt was the Queen of the Cover. All of "her' big hits were covers... Poor, Poor Pitiful Me... I Can't Let Go... It's So Easy (to fall in love)... Silver Threads and Golden Needles... You're No Good... When Will I Be Loved... Love is a Rose...Heat Wave...That'll Be the Day...Carmelita... and on and on and on. All covers.
