It's the only song by them I know other than Casey Jones. I had a VW Mini-Bus at one point, so I learned to hate Deadheads pretty quickly. Why they think everyone driving one of those is a Deadhead like them is just amazing...especially when it's covered in Metallica stickers!

Casey Jones is my other favorite GD song, but I prefer Warren Zevon's cover of it on the Dead tribute album.

"There's no need for you to say you're sorry, goodbye, I'm going home

I don't care no more so don't you worry, goodbye, I'm going home

I hate the way that even though you know you're wrong, you say you're right

I hate the books you read and all your friends

Your music's s---e, it keeps me up all night...."

One of this band's best. Still up.

I think it's spelled "Amie" on the record

The guy who wote it used to live just a few miles from me in Camp Sherman, OR

When I hear that song now, I think of the SNL "four buddies" sketch they did to it. They did that bit several times, but I think this song was the first time they performed it.

If it wasn't for The Breakfast Club I probably wouldn't have known of Simple Minds...not heavy enough for me at that time!

I've been sitting here so long
Wasting time, just staring at the phone
And I was wondering should I call you
Then I thought maybe you're not alone

I have this one on a B side of a 45 but by a big time artist also used in a movie

Oh there's an easiness about her
There's a softness in her way
But she gets me through the hard times
We get closer everyday
I know I'll never be alone now boys

Across the sea into my soul
It reaches into where I cannot hide
