ChrisBcritter Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 no one knows what happened that day, how his car overturned in flames, but as they pulled him from the twisted wreck, with his dying breath, they heard him say... "Tell Laura I Love Her"
ChrisBcritter Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Well, she shot him dead On a sunny Florida road When they caught her all she said Was she couldn't stand the way he drove...
slusher Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) Spirits above and behind me Faces gone, black eyes burnin' bright May their precious blood forever bind me Lord as I stand before your fiery light The Rising - Bruce Springsteen good song Edited October 26, 2014 by slusher

Snake45 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) Well, she shot him dead On a sunny Florida road When they caught her all she said Was she couldn't stand the way he drove... That's Dave Edmunds--From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come). But he didn't write it--you want the writer, too? (I've never been able to find a recording of the writer performing that song, and I'd love to, because it's so him.) Another lyric by the same writer, with a song two other artists had a hit with: What I got I have earned What I'm not I have learned Desire and hunger is the fire I breathe Just stay in my bed till the morning comes Edited October 26, 2014 by Snake45
Harry P. Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 What I got I have earned What I'm not I have learned Desire and hunger is the fire I breathe Just stay in my bed till the morning comes Is that "Because the Night" by Springsteen? "Desire and hunger is the fire I breathe" sounds right, but the rest of it seems different...
Harry P. Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 "Well I laughed… half the way to Tokyo. I dreamt I was Surfer Joe. And what that means, I don't know."
Custom Mike Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Some say I've got a bad attitude But that don't change the way I feel about you And if you think this might be bringing me down Look again 'cause I ain't wearing no frown! Ugly Kid Joe - Every Thing About You
Snake45 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Is that "Because the Night" by Springsteen? "Desire and hunger is the fire I breathe" sounds right, but the rest of it seems different... Yup. If you can find a rare recording him of him doing it, that's the way he sings it. That song was, believe it or not, cut from Darkness on the Edge of Town. What genius thought "Adam Raised a Cain" was a better song than Because the Night?
lysleder Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Ugly Kid Joe - Every Thing About You Yes it is!
Custom Mike Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Here's one for ya... Bet you're sittin' drinking coffee Yawning sleepily
lysleder Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 "Woe to you, Oh Earth and Sea, for the Devil sends the beast with wrath, because he knows the time is short... Iron Maiden - Number of the beast
lysleder Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Selling them whiskey and taking their gold Enslaving the young and destroying the old Iron Maiden - Run to the hills
Mike_G Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 So take all those blues must be a thousand hues and each is differently used
slusher Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 So take all those blues must be a thousand hues and each is differently used James Gang - Bluebird There has been other artist also record this song
slusher Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Now my widow she weeps by my grave Tears flow free for her man she couldn't save Shot down in cold blood by a gun that carried fame All for a useless and no good worthless claim
slusher Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 What about that brand new ring? Doesn't that mean love to you? Doesn't that mean anything? If I threw away my pride And I got down on my knees Would you make me beg you, "pretty please?"
Snake45 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 What about that brand new ring? Doesn't that mean love to you? Doesn't that mean anything? If I threw away my pride And I got down on my knees Would you make me beg you, "pretty please?" I know it, but both the song title and artist are just too long to type.
