Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Well, the wife made sure funds would not be to availble this weekend, but I will likeyl make the trip anyway. Nice to be social once in a while.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Had a great time today. Danno, Bernie nice to see you guys. Jonathan, thanks for the LHD parts. Mike it was good to see you again after all these years!
Mike Kucaba Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I got caught by the rain going home. Took me 3 hours to get home. Went thru some interesting neighborhoods. 60 was so badly flooded the HP had us go UP and oncoming ramp to get out!! WOW! What a ride.
Danno Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Saw a little of that going North, too, Mike. For a while, it was like a hurricane - high velocity, horizontal gale winds driving sheets of opaque rain, streets flooding, trees being ripped out and crushing cars and blocking the streets. Took me almost an hour to get home, and I don't live THAT far! Glad you made it safely, Mike.
Maindrian Pace Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Great show, and lots of stuff I just couldn't seem to leave without. Sad-eyed, weird orphan stuff. Bone dry on the way home, but 30 minutes later... yeah. -MJS
Mike Kucaba Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 On a positive note, it was nice connecting and re-connecting with all the people. Mark great to see you again after all the years. Danno, Bernie, Raoul ,Dan D ,Mike,Chip and sooo many others. Also met and talked with Steve Prideux . Great reminiscing about the Lil Screamer and midwest drag icons. I'll be at Modelzona, but don't know if I'll set-up. Waiting for Tucson, gonna pull out a LOT of stuff from the vault, and of course there is Desert Scale classic WHOO-BOY!!
Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Are you talking about the Tucson IPMS contest, or the big swap meet that they have at that old mall?
