John Pol Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Love to get a couple of those induction setups great job so far on the model
JTalmage Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Youre making me want to pull mine out of the box and start on it... Going polar opposite of your idea though!
Ron Hamilton Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) Thanks.. The fronts I cut the centers out and use the Pegasus 19 sleeve.... On the rears they just slid into the 23 sleeves they have... Small up date...Got the body painted and cleared..... Didnt notice it till clear but on the pass door is a small indention.... I didnt get my stripe right either...Fortunantly I have a spare kit so Im getting it prepped and ready to spray and strip this body and use for a nother build..Had a blister pop up on my hood too so its been stripped and getting prepped and fixed. Got the interior flocked and rolling And got the motor going...I used the extra intake from the 67 Vette....Something old school and diff That is looking really nice. Funny thing, I noticed the same blemish in the door of mine. I am still gathering the parts to build mine, which will be a Replica Stock. Edited September 17, 2014 by Ron Hamilton
slusher Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Love the color and engine. Do you have to have a scoop with the vett intake...
66belair Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Looks great.how close is it to the 69 version?
slammedi'am Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Thanks everyone... Slusher,it fits perfect under the hood and even with the stock hood... Got body number 2 in first coat of primer, some engine details going and interior going too...Will have some pics in a bit
slammedi'am Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 cool. nice job. those aluminum sleeves must be expensive, but they are worth it. I do the same only with deep offset plastic rims. if I can learn to cut straight, they would look much better. thanks for posting that up. They are not that bad on price...About $10 a set
slammedi'am Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Well I finally got back on this hot and heavy...Took a week of vacation and got my real truck cleaned up and went to a truck show... Got back and was still bummed about the spot on the door (of the model) and some other stuff that happened...I worked a lil here and there but now Im back at full force on it.. Pretty much got the interior done....Still need some details Got my headers made and everythin painted...Its almost done and soon to go in Ran out of paint for the new body so went to get some more and found a diff color I liked better...This is before clear Got the suspension pretty much done and decided to go with these wheels instead.... Ive got the decals on and will get clear tomorrow

Snake45 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 FABULOUS color. What is it? It puts me somewhat in mind of '68 Chevy Corvette Bronze. MAN that is pretty paint! Great interior, too!

slammedi'am Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Thanks everyone... Color is autumn maple metallic..Its a factory GM color but dont have a clue to what years
Snake45 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Thanks for the color. I'll keep that name in mind. Might be able to find that at an auto parts store. It looks GREAT!

slammedi'am Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 Finally got the body wet sanded and bug=ffed out...Sorry for the crappy pics, usually my cell takes some good ones but its been messing up here lately First is the last mock up Wet sanded and buffed Foil done And engine almost complete...Still gotta put the fuel pump on and fan then she will be ready to go in to her new home
66belair Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Love the engine,I have similar plans for a 69 with that set up. Body looking good.
pharr7226 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 That intake was a great choice and the aluminum pulleys give it a modern feel. The subtle modifications like the hood and the wheels really set this build off. Great work.
