unclescott58 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I have no idea what it is. But, it's interesting. Looking forward to learning more. Scott
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) Looks Limeland or European to me, also looks to be quite small, maybe the size of a Donkervoort. Something about the upper part of the background looks PhotoShop to me...line of sharply focused roof and hood-edge, fuzzy background not quite consistent with what I'm used to seeing as a function on depth-of-field effects. Something about the nose and headlights looks off, too. Actually, the more I look at it, the more the whole thing looks to me like a PS construct. Edited October 22, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
1/24DragAndStreetCars Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Looks definetly euro maybe rolls royce?
Harry P. Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Looks definetly euro maybe rolls royce? It has British plates...
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) I googled the tag...British indeed. Apparently a loosely Austin 7-based special. '39 Austin 7... ...with a grill-shell from a '37 Austin 7 Ulster... Edited October 22, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
unclescott58 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 But, what is it? And is it real? The more I look at the photo now, the more doubts I'm beginning to have too. Scott
unclescott58 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) Okay as I was posting the above, Bill dropped in the second photo. That one convinces me it's real. And I bet by looking at the lower photos, it is a modified Austin. Scott Edited October 22, 2014 by unclescott58
Snake45 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Except for the goofy wheels, I Iike it! Everything looks better on American Torq-Thrusts!
Greg Myers Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Bills "a loosely Austin 7-based special" probably hits the mark. Looking at it today, what comes to mind is, look at this Hot Rod made somewhere other than the US and with parts available locally.
MonoPed Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Looks like it's built on a Catarham Seven chassis.
Snake45 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 At first I thought it was based on a Citroen 15 CV.
