Well here is a poor mans gasser its a all stock olds 442 w30 .Its all original drivetrain with some mods suck as slicks and a set of taller coil springs on the front.

Ain't "gassy" at all. Looks like it would be a legal /Stock entry, or Modified Production at worst. Nice model, too!

he said "Its all original drivetrain with some mods suck as slicks and a set of taller coil springs on the front." you never know the drive shaft could have been shortened so the original engine could have the proper setback and its its still an original engine, axle, and driveshaft... and he could have a coil springs on a ibeam axle... i doubt it and even then it still would be a stretch

It would not take much to turn a Stocker into a Gas class car. A friend of mine told me how he would remove the front bumper from his car if a Max Wedge Mopar would show up at the track so that he would be put in a Gas class. His Chevy could not compete with the 426 cars in Stock Eliminator!
