gatorincebu Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Cool van. Great build especially for use in a diorama. Be Well Gator
kruleworld Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 i like this. you can totally blend in with the crowd in one of those.
kilrathy10 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 That's a good looking van, Dude....Not sure how I missed this one, either.....
charlie8575 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I like this build. Ideas. Wipers- perhaps some photo-etched ones? If you have to go to all the trouble, might as well go for the best possible solution. Mirrors- as I remember, these mirrors were basically tubular "Cs" with big mirror body. Easy to scratchbuild. charlie8575 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I stand corrected re: mirrors. These still don't look like they'd be too tough to make. http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/GM%20Trucks%20and%20Vans/1972_Trucks_and_Vans/1972_Chevrolet_Recreational_Vehicles_Brochure/1972%20Chevy%20Recreation-16.html Charlie Larkin
Mr Stock Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Great build Chuck, I had an idea myself to build the "Dirty Donny" version into a well used plain jane van. You have nailed the look mate.
TooOld Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 As an ex National employee I'd say that you got it right ! Except for those wipers . . .
